What Should I Expect?
You can expect me to be on time. Also, you can expect to see a smiling face greet you when you arrive at our meeting spot. I will lead you to our first spot and arrange you all how I want you for each picture. I will give you tricks and tips and lots of direction so you can feel confident that your pictures will turn out beautifully. You can also expect me to be a little unorthodox about my methods- possibly letting children tell me how to take their photo and asking them to jump off of park benches, hang on low tree branches, etc. I try to make your session be a joy- not a burden. If you get everyone there, I will take care of the rest! You've already done the hard part! Kids can expect a small (non- candy) treat for being such great models at the end of our hour together.
Help! What Should We Wear?
So there are a few rules of thumb I give to all my clients about wardrobe. The best thing to do is to pick a couple of neutral colours and add a pop of colour. So, for example, everyone has on greys and blues and you add in a bit of pink- with cardigans, scarves, earrings, necklaces, etc. Also, it's great to have a few layering options, like a jean jacket, or a fashion scarf that you can wear in one picture and not in the next to change up the look. Here are a few examples of good colour coordination from my previous clients (under each photo I'll mention the colours they chose). A few tips are: avoid bright red, neon, large logos or all wearing white T-shirts and jeans. Jeans are great but choose shirts that are in the same colour family- like shades of blue and green for example.
